Coach Rob I'm digging this site! I've been reading your work since your early days on gen-mag.com and for over the last year on Elitefts.com fight corner. You have never spoken on using Olympic lifts for boxers. Are you against them? Or do you use them now?

Hey Chad sorry for the late reply... Wow, that's some time then that you've been reading my thoughts. Haven't heard anyone mention gen-mag in a loooong time. Glad to hear your digging fight corner and boxingperformance.com

It's not that I'm against Oly lifts, cause I'm not. For boxers I feel and know through experience that I get more carry over using plyos in the push, twist, squat patterns. So I use med ball throws, side oblique tosses, jumps etc. They're easier to teach and I don't worry about technique issue that could cause injury.

I like the rebounder and the power development we get from using different plyos and med ball. I like jump shrugs but do not use the clean, snatch, or any other oly lift.
